Description
GoldenChip Company (GCC) produces Magnetic Stripe cards to ISO Standards. Magnetic stripe cards encoding is measured in Oersteds (Oe). This is a measure of its connectivity, which is a parameter to describe how strong a magnetic field must be to affect the data encoded on a magnetic stripe.
There are two types of Magnetic stripe cards:
- High Coercivity (Hi-Co) magnetic stripe Cards range from 2750 to 4000 Oe and provides a high level of immunity to damage from stray magnetic fields
- Low Coercivity (Lo-Co) Cards at 300 Oe is easier to encode than Hi-Co and less resistant to stray magnetic fields.
